Toys

So I was reading an article on MSN about the most popular toys (the article came out around Christmas, dont ask me why I am only reading it now). It had this little chart from Forbes on it and it listed the most popular toy for each decade. It made me think of the "good old days".

Forbes The most popular toys
Era Toy
• 1900-1909 Crayola Crayons
• 1910-1919 Raggedy Ann Dolls
• 1920-1929 Madame Alexander Collectible Dolls
• 1930-1939 View-Master 3-D Viewer
• 1940-1949 Candy Land
• 1950-1959 Mr. Potato Head
• 1960-1969 G.I. Joe
• 1970-1979 Rubik's Cube
• 1980-1989 Cabbage Patch Kids
• 1990-1999 Beanie Babies
• 2000-Present Razor Scooter

Isn't it funny how toys have changes in all these years. Do you guys remember the Beanie Babies craze? I mean people would fight over these things! How crazy people get about toys. It was kinda cool to read about the history of toys. Did you know that a stone yo-yo was created in Greece in 1000 BC! I still say that some of the best toys were some of the simplist.

Comments:
i think i have most of those toys! (in one form or another!)

next on the list will be something like an ipod or something ridiculous!

I entertained myself with boxes and sticks. Kids these days...

Matt didn't need any of those toys as a kid. Give him dirt and water, and he was happy for hours!
