Go Bumbo!

This weekend we bought a bumbo seat for Will. Its a seat for babies who cant quite sit on their own yet. Its really for babies who are 3 months and older, but he sits in it just fine. (He's 2 months today!) He just lounges. He sat in it for over 10 minutes the first time, which is a record for trying something new. The first time we put him in the swing and the bouncy seat, he was screaming after 2 minutes. I was very surprised! I hope he keeps liking it. Crossing my fingers. All else is well. Nothing new to report. The 2nd pic is just a cute one that I wanted to put up. I know, its random, but oh well. Have a good rest of the week!

News Flash! Rare Sighting!!!

That is right folks. You heard it here first. Will has learned to smile! I know it might seem like a small thing but you have no idea how rewarding it is after 6 weeks of blank stares and crying. He also is making progress on the thumb sucking.

We are both doing well too. The lack of sleep still makes us a bit pugnacious at times but even that is getting better. I just finished the taxes. Have you gotten all your money back from Uncle Sam yet?

Learning to suck my thumb

So today has been a busy day. I woke up, ate, looked around alot, took a short nap, pooped, and did it all again. But this evening, I have decided to try something new. Suck my thumb. I dont like pacifiers. Why suck on that when you have these great things attached to your hand? Its more complicated than I thought it would be, but I am getting it. Don't you worry. I'll get it one of these days.

Where has the time gone?

Time has flown by! Will is already a month old. He now weighs 9 lbs 2 oz and is doing great. He holds his head up pretty well and loves to be constantly entertained. In the last day or 2 he has started making cooing noises. Its very cute. He still usually only takes cat naps during the day but they are getting longer. Today is the first time I will have him alone overnight. Matt has watch. He left this morning at 7 am and won't be back until after work on Monday. I'm a little nervous, but I know we will do great. He is starting to get fussy, so I better go. Hope you all are doing great!
