News Flash!!!!

Mondays suck.

That is all, carry on smartly.

Well I guess I've been told

Well, since I've been told by more than one person that we need to update more, I am taking it upon myself to do so. I told Matt last week that we need to, but there is really nothing new going on. I know, I know, I say that all the time, but it is true. Matt has been getting home at a normal hour this week, but I think that may change soon because he just got awarded 2 new HUGE jobs, which is a good thing but it is more work to an already full workload. Overall though, things are going well around here. We did go to a Mardi Gras party this weekend. One of the guys Matt works with had it at his house. We ate a lot of gumbo and drank a hurricane ( just one - those suckers are strong!) Anyone doing anything fun for Mardi Gras? That was all we had planned. It was fun, even our cats got into the spirit. (those arent the best pictures of them - they are alot cuter, but they weren't so sure about what was on their necks :) ) I dont know if you can tell in these pictures but some of the beads on their necks are little fishes. Too cute!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

I know, I know

OK, so I know we haven't posted in a while, but there has really been nothing new going on. This weekend Matt had watch on Friday night. For those non-military people, watch is where he stays on base overnight. He is in a room with a desk, computer, tv, phone, and bed. If people have questions or have to report anything, they call him. So, I was at home watching the Olympic opening ceremonies that night. Did anyone else watch them? They were .... unique. It was kinda cool when all the people got together to form a huge skier. I guess you had to see it, it sounds weird when you put it in writing. Pretty much all weekend Matt and I have had the olympics on. It makes me want to go to Italy. Its beautiful! I am so jealous LR got snow (even if it didnt stick)! There were areas in NC (including Onslow Co - where we live) that got some snow, just not where our house is :( Can you believe NY! Wow - snow much! Hope you all had a good weekend and got to get out and play in the snow, while it lasted.

Weekend.....Need I say more

ITS FRIDAY!!!!! Hooray for the weekend! I am very excited because our weekend started today. Matt decided to take off work today and stay home and play. I think he deserves it after the week he had (on Tuesay he left the house at 5:45 am and didnt get home until 8:45 pm).

No big plans for the weekend though. It is warm here in Jacksonville, NC. The high today is 70 degrees! Ok people - its February. I think we might head to the beach sometime this weekend. Just take a nice walk. Dont you wish you were us :)

There is a Super bowl party on Sunday at one of the guy's houses that Matt works with, so we will be going to that. It should be fun, even though we havent really followed football this year; we have had a little bit going on :)

Hope you guys have a great weekend. Dont get into to much trouble!
